I've been in the mood to get some new music DVDs lately, but don't really know what's out there to get. I love the Zeppelin set that was released a year or two ago, and am pretty partial to The Who at the Isle of Wight. The Kids are Alright is pretty good too. I would love for Nickel Creek to come out with a DVD, and The Black Crowes should have something out this year too. As I'm watching Rush's Live in Rio on VH-1 Classic right now, I was wondering....
What are your favorite music or music-related DVDs? |

| | | | Alicia keys- unplugged
Talking heads - stop making sense
Joni Mitchell - shadows and light
Miles Davis electric band
Any Earth wind and fire concert(they are radical)
Those are a few that I dig a lot. Also 'the last waltz' is pretty awesome, though it's really more of a documentary.

My favorite bands, and they play almost all of my favorite songs by said favorite bands. So if you're into any of them, invest.s

Tetsuo Sakurai (w/D. Chambers, G. Howe) Gentle Hearts Tour 2004. Got this from Audiophile Imports recently, amazing.
Marcus Miller - Master of All Trades. Another one from Audoiphile, very good.
RHCP - Live at Slane Castle. Kinda loose but in a good funky way.
Hall & Oates, live in concert (2003). I really dig T-Bone's playing, and he sounds great on this one.
Chicago - Live by Request. I think Jason Scheff is underrated and both his playing and vocals kill on this one.
Bireli Lagrene/Sylvan Luc - Jazz in Mariac 2000. I'm not even much of a guitarist but this guitar duo concert is unbelievable. There's an upright player that joins them for a few songs, but mostly just Bireli and Sylvan shredding on everything from straight ahead jazz to a great version of 'isn't she lovely'. Very musically inspiring. |

I also enjoyed Fleetwood Mac - The Dance.
The Zeppelin DVD is the best bargain out there. |
