What are your thoughts on painted acoustic instruments ? I think a great burst can look really hot but I could leave a solid color finish though. I really enjoy ovations Greenburst

Staining I have no problem with, but painting tends to take away from the natural resonance of the instrument. I'd rather go with a natural look and sound personally.
Not for me, thank you. Then again, I am much more specific about what I expect in a high-end acoustic guitar than I am a high-end bass. I'm very picky in that area.
