What are the best songs by bassists for bassists that spotlight bass over everything else?
Big Bottom's gotta be in the mix, and I think I'd have to throw Pea in as well.

| | | | I don't think a bass anthem should (or does) exist, that said, there is definitely some cool, bass-centric muse stuff from absolution and the album before that.
Hey man, nice shot by filter as well. |

I'd have to say either "higher ground" (peppers version of course) or "Portrait of Tracy/Teen Town". If you want to hear an amature cover of any of these songs, you don't have to look far |

But so much has been done since... Heck, darn near any tune from the 1st two RHCP albums will fit the bill!

| | | From the day, it was-
"Teen Town"
"School Days"
"Joe Frazier"
In the SITSOM DVD, Ralphe Armstrong & Nathan Watts (IIRC) say "...if you couldn't play "Scorpio", you weren't a bass player".
