So far in my bass odyssey I have two basses, a good amp, a number of pedals, a wireless instrument system, and various othet goodies. So I'm all set in the gear department. I'm thinking my next big purchase is going to be Roy Vogt's Teach Me Bass Guitar series of DVD lessons. $187.50, and I've started saving my pennies to buy it. Might take a while since I'm still unemployed, but I'll get there eventually. I know about paying for it in three installments, but I've got this thing about paying in full for things. Less hassle that way. http://www.teachmebassguitar.com/
So, what are you looking at down the pike?

Nice to control your own reverb and delay, and getting a host of real-world vocal effects and harmonies with no fuss is right up my alley.

Tech 21 VT Bass pedal (waiting for ver 2) for my "normal" daily playing.
ps, Maybe for others those aren't 'big' purchases but they are for me for me.

| | | Long time electric bass player, 18 months ago I got myself an Eminence -- a small bodied, slightly-acoustic double-bass.
I'm no whiz on it, but I'm ready to get a real, full-bodied stand-up bass -- maybe one of these:
I've got a solid background in jazz; but I also get a real kick outa pounding out pop/rock/roots/funk on an upright! |
