Who else out there has a certain song they play everytime they're soundchecking at a gig?
Lately I've been playing "Journey to the end of East Bay" by Rancid, followed by "Execution Commentary" by Muse when I'm checking my distortion levels. Anybody else care to share?

| | | | In my one band it's "Scumbag Blues" by Them Crooked Vultures. Good for testing both my clean and fuzz-sound. It's a song where if there are any weaknesses, will come forward pretty clearly.
In my other band it's a song called "Spontaneous Selfcombustion" for checking my distortion- and synth-pedals and another one called "Element Boogie" for checking my Wah-pedal and slap-sound. Both are originals. |

People think we just got really pumped up and started thrashing, but we only do about 40 seconds. |

Last night in another band, we did a bit of "Cold Duck Time" on the fly.
In another band, more likely "Autumn Leaves" or "Summertime."
Next week in another band/gig it'll probably be "Sara Smile" or maybe "Brandy." |
