I am thinking about making my own mic stands. I have alll the material and plans for everything but the base. i was wondering if anyone knew anywhere I could purchase just the bases at a reasonable price? Thanks |

I have read alot of useful tips and ideas here, just thought I would now ask a question, and gain from the wealth of knowledge. |

| | | | Thought about building a tripod base, but was just looking for a way to produce several as quick as possible without sacrificing on the craftsmanship of the riser or boom. Trust me the design itself is outside the box, just trying to save some time. Thanks for the suggestion though! I welcome any and all ideas. |

Back in the day I turned some bases in a lathe for various stands from solid steel discs. Not worth it anymore IMHO.
Come to think of it, it wasn't worth it 20 years ago either  .
The stands are so cheap that using 'em as donors makes much more sense.
