Where can I leagally download Tool's Lateralus?

Sign in to disble this ad
My Lateralus CD is scratched beyond recognition. I went to iTunes, not there, went to Napster (about a month or so ago), not there either.

Usually, I'll type the album in Google and it'll show me places that I can DL it like Best Buy or WalMart...... Nothing.

Went to the Tool Website and I can't DL it there either.

Any advise?

Tool doesnt do online media. You'll have to buy a new copy of the physical CD somewhere.

I think the album is OOP. So I don't think it would be available to download either.

Why not just buy the CD again new instead of downloading it?

Thats what I was suggesting, is there such a difference between buying a download and buying a CD online?

FYI, if you own a copy of the CD you're legally allowed to make/download a digital copy for free, as many times as you want, as long as you're not selling or distributing it.

The RIAA and the labels don't want you to know that, but copyright law says that if you own it, you can copy it for yourself all you like.

Good tip.

I always rip them for the MP3 player and then make a copy for the vehicles. That way if it gets lost, stolen or scratched like Nino mentioned I still have the original that has hardly been played and doesn't leave the house. Another legal copy would only take minutes and the cost is minimal.

Since you already own a "licence" for the CD, what's the problem in grabbing any old torrent of the album and burning another CD? The RIAA would love to suck up more of your hard-earned money in buying another copy, but screw that. You've already bought it! Hell, there's even a Vinyl rip out there if you look around that sounds pretty good
