Where can you get good bass gear?

Good guitars you can get anywhere but nobody carries enough basses for you to pick out a good one at a store. The internet has the same problem and CL (at least in my town) just has crap stuff (basses- amps can be good but rarely worth the price).

So unless you know exactly what you want, you can't buy new and unless you know somebody with gear they're trying to unload you can't by used.

I was lucky enough to get a bass from my guardian angle and an amp from an out-of-town CL-er; Azola is taking care of my new bass (amp by guardian angle), but few people have guardian angles and the first amp was pure luck.

How do you do it?

I GOT IT GUYS

It's A-N-G-E-L; an 'angle' is a relationship between two lines. An angel, well that's a bit vague...
On topic, I've done it differently every time(TB is my fave right now, but at this point I pretty much know what I like), but the main thing is you need to do it wrong several dozen times before you really know what *right* is, IME.

My local selection sucks , i buy used on ebay i always wait and get a killer deal if i dont like it i sell it , i did this last year ended up buying 5 basses sold the 4 i did not like and there profits of 1,000$ bought me the 5th one.

honestly there is not much you can do besides buying online , posting wanted ads on your cities CL or going to bigger cities to shop.

be smart about buying , buy used and if you do your omework you can always sell it at the price you bought it for, if not profit.
