Just started with some new music that I'm using a pick for. On my guitars, I'd normally use one of those sticky pick holders to hold picks, but this bass is really shiny, and I don't want to mar it, plus the picks I'm using are super fat Lexan contoured picks, and won't fit in the holder anyway.
Where do I stick these things when I'm not using 'em? Assume I'm not wearing any pants, so pockets are out of the question.

if your bass has a pickguard, you can stick them underneath it
or I've also jammed them between the saddles on a fender style bridge with no problems
are you singing? If not, do what I do when i'm not singing on a song, hold it in yer teeth

Is there something that could attach to the strap?

My guitarist sticks them in the adjustment slits in his strap.

My teeth, though. I'll think on that. No one wants to hear me sing, anyway...

It doesn't touch the wood. It holds two picks, anything from thin plastic picks to 5mm rubber picks. Works just fine. I have two of these things, and I haven't had one drop a pick yet. |

amp. When I was done with it I would just drop it on the
stage or floor and take another from the amp as needed,
and then pick up the pile during the break and reload.

I use a "Rebel's" brand, strap. It has a Pick box screwed onto it. I also adapted a "Zippo lighter" belt clip, for use on my other strap, and it holds a Dunlop spring loaded triangle.
I also adorn my basses with bass, and guitar wedgies, for a variety of picks for me to use. |

Place the pick above the first string then under the second string and then above the third string, however you need a pretty good size pick for this on a bass. One of those tiny fingertip-size picks wouldn't work.

These usually have double sided tape on the back. Stick it to the back of your headstock and you're good to go.
