Where does Stuart Hamm live?

Sign in to disble this ad
I work at FedEx and I was loading a GK bass amp (2x10). When I was looking at the label to see the destination (it was San Francisco), I saw the name was Stuart Hamm!

I'm not sure if it was the "real" Stu but anyone know where he lives at?

He does live in SF not far from Castro - on his last studio album outbound he includes samples he made by opening his window and recording the sounds coming from the clubs. He said it can be fun to play along

Man, what are the odds of coming across a package to someone you know!

Yep, I'm guessing the Castro must be at the bottom of a hillside area, as Stu said he lives on the hill. You should have wrote on the box "Love your playing Stu!".

GK though....must have felt like a change from Hartke! On the Stanley Clarke's "Night School" dvd he plays through an SWR amp, as does every guest bassist...sounds incredible!

Chalk one up for why GK rocks!

Last time I met Stu, he was using Peavey amps in December 04. Then he was in a ton of Hartke ads. Now GK?! This guy can't make up his mind!

And yes, he lives in the SF area... AFAIK he's still playing bass for a dinner theater called Teatro Zinzani.

You're all wrong...

..He lives in Yuba City, California. Yuba City is such an ugly town, Stu is forced to stay inside his house all day and do nothing but practice. That's why he's such an excellent bassist !

Stu is still a hartke man. Perhaps he was checking out the GK or he needed something GK has that Hartke doesn't. You never know.

I've grown to hate my ha5500 head. The tube keeps going stupid on me. Hissing & Popping & Crackling. Its been in for repair 4 times now
I wonder if the 5th time gets me like a free coupon for a burger at wendys..

I don't know about that, he used Peavey for a relatively short time...before that, he had been using Hartke for years!

For may many years Stu was using Hartke and yes for a couple of years he did use Peavey(when he was using Peavey, the founder of Hartke was no longer at Hartke) and now that Larry Hartke is back at Hartke,Stu has come back as well.
