Where to find people to jam with?

Sign in to disble this ad
I'm looking for suggestions of where to find other people to play with. I've been playing for about a year now, mainly blues and jazz (but I could play all 8th notes if someone wants me to play rock j/k). I'm 30, so hanging out with a bunch of 15yr olds doesn't really interest me. I've looked at Bandmix.com but most of those people are looking for "bassist with 10+yrs ready to tour, has a van and can thrash like Robert Trujillo"...

Right now I'm really just looking for people to jam with as the only other person I play with is my teacher (we spend about 5min going over the previous week's "homework assignment" and then jam for the next 50min.

Check your local craigslist, under musicians.

Craigslist is great. Try harmonycentral.com, too.
