WHO`S SICK OF CRAPPY UTUBE VIDEOS ?

Sign in to disble this ad
Yet again I Utube`d the other night wanting to see particular model of bass- demonstration . This was one of those NAMM ones where some idiot is doing a horrifically loose Flea impersonation with someone holding a camera on the $1000 bass that if I was blind id swear it was a plank of wood with some fence wire attached to it !.
If I was a munufacturer Id be horrified to hear my Bass sounding like some school music room peice of junk that hasnt had the strings changed in 20 years !. Come on people , lets stop flooding the internet with bad playing/bad sounding videos and start using this modern technology we have and post something worth watching !
Ed Friedlands G&L L2000 Tribute demo is a good example .

It's not that big of a deal. I get your point though.

I'll say that overall I think youtube is one of the best things to ever happen to the internet.

I'm just thankful that we have YouTube at all, and even more thankful that it's free. So I'm not going to complain. If you don't like something, don't watch it.

Regardless of how you feel youtube is there for everybody. Good, bad, and everything in-between.

Just like TV. If you don't like what you're watching, switch to something else. Takes less effort than this thread.

I agree...my favorites are the countless videos of teenagers playing a fairly complicated piece and screwing up every other note. I'm no perfectionist but I wouldn't want to post that crap for everyone in the world to see. I'd at least make an attempt to learn the song better before filming myself playing it.

And what bugs me more is when all their 13 year old friends think they are SWEET and play so well...I guess I just had some harsh friends who were friend enough to let me know when I sucked!

Goes to random music places "playing" basses to demo them. Records the video even if the shop tells him he shouldnt.

Tell me about it! Its good that he does a lot of bass reviews but he has to be one of the worst bass players ever. I really wish Ed Friedland made 50 videos a day.
