who else has crazy bass dreams?

So anyway I had a crazy bass/band dream last night and it was split up into three different parts.

1.) I was playing with Jimi Hendrix and right before the show he gives me a guitar, I go "Thats a guitar not a bass, I play bass" so he continues to give me different guitars he went through like 10 differnet guitars. He finally gives me a ten string fretless yeah it was out of tune. So I play the show doing really bad because I am no good whith a fretless. So I ran off the stage and stumbled into my next dream.

2.) So it was me and my band playing at some kind of pool thing. We were playing really well and then, all the sudden, during a solo the guitarist jumps into the pool. But when he did his cord came out and fryed itself when it fell in the water. so he came up to me and told me to unplug my bass and give the cord to him and let him play through mine. He gave me the whole "oh, you just play bass, its not important!" so I gave him the wire and proceeded to smash my bass against the floor until it was totaled

3.) I also had this little mini dream. After the whole pool thing another band comes in and their bassist has a three necked bass.(it was 4 string fretted, 4 string frettless, and a 5 string fretted) seeing as though I needed a new bass I wanted to buy his. but my drummer buys the bass for 56$ and wont let me pay him any amount of money for it and he went oon and on about how great it was.

Yeah, those are my dreams, Kinda wierd but I willl like to hear yours

When I first started playing bass I had a dream that I was backstage at a Hendrix concert and he handed me a bass and I was going to be his bassist and when I started testing out the new bass I could just rip on it.

Am i the only one thinking that the OP might have a case of bass inferiority complex(on the subconscius level if nothing else)?
I've yet to have a bass related dream, but im not sure they'll be as interesting as yours

one time i was at a rush concert and geddy lee was rockin out, and then i realized he was wearing a black-and-white polka-dot skirt.
it looked really awesome with his bass, i have to say...

I was thinking the same thing. That or he just really has a LOT of people ragging on him for how useless bass apparently is.

I had a dream once where I WAS a bass, one being plucked by my guitard...

Every time I've had a dream about playing bass there's no logic to the notes and the neck is warping strangely and it's just frustrating.

I once had a dream that I was sitting cross-legged in a field and playing my bass. The wind was blowing across the tall grass. The sound of the bass had some wet reverb and it just floated throughout the air. I looked up....


and saw that the sky was filled with women's breasts, undulating and flowing with the wind and the music.

I kid you not. Best musical dream I've ever had. And damn funny, to me anyway.

Had a pretty weird one which I think was just an excuse to give me GAS or it's destiny. I was in a crowd watching Noel Redding playing at some guitar convention. Got speaking to him after as his tone was out of this world. He said he prefered the Fender Jazz RI and it was the '64 model (sunburst with tort PG) compared to what he used in the 1960's. Woke up and never though anything about it, got bored on the net so googled the bass and it exists, never knew they're RI they year before but what are the chances of me dreaming up the same year? So should it be my next bass?

Funny you should say that as one of my most vivid dreams was of playing bass with Hendrix - so it was like a big festival and there we are and it's the best thing that ever happened to me - it's all going well, we are jamming and the crowd love it!

Then suddenly Hendrix runs off stage and it's just me and the drummer and I don't know what to do - the crowd start booing and I can't play anything worth hearing - it's my worst nightmare!

Wake up in a cold sweat!
