Who the hell is Boyd Rivers?

I don't know who this guy is, but he's kicking my ass right now. Quite possibly the best voice in the blues I've ever heard - and I don't even really like the blues.

I just bought everything I could find on iTunes from this guy - all of 7 songs. There's scant information about him on the intarwebz... anybody know anything about the man?
