I was playing along with one of his CDs last night. Love his stuff! He has some great tunes, many with interesting bass lines. One of my favourites is "Sky Dive". I think Ron Carter played on that one.

I acquired a taste for Freddie's music back in the 70s when I played in a jazz band and we covered tunes like "Mr. Clean", "First Light", "Povo", and "Red Clay".

The behaviour of today's senior citizens is appalling!

ANother good one is Red Clay and his playing on Herbie Hancocks Emperyaen Islands is amazing.

I liked his early work. Stopped listening to him when he went to CTI.

We played Red Clay in my ensemble last year. It's fun.
