Hope this the correct place to post an inquiry?
Hi, new member so please be gentle!!!
I have an old 60's or late 50's violin,viola bass without a name just a logo of two doves facing each other and looking upwards.Two pickups that are just black in a chromed brass casing, 2 vol pots and one tone pot. Any clue of the maker?. Could be east european but am unsure

Looks like something Eko or Burns would have put out. I would definitely have to guess a European maker.

Yes its got a hell of a thump to it. I have played a p bass for years and i liked the bit of feedback i get with this old hollow bass

The red sunburst is very often seen on European hollow-body basses from the ´60s. It's definitely not a Burns. Judging from the hardware and f-hole shape, my best guess would be a Musima. Those were made in Eastern Germany.

After further research (found by googling musima) could it be built by orfeus?

Thanks imoh, the only difference s the pickups, now to date it and i may be lucky as the internal paper label has 26/61 stamped on it so it may be a manufacture date
