I just got a new acoustic bass, and I want to know who makes the most durable hardshell cases and where do i get them. I'm new to this forum so sorry if this is in the wrong section.

But my opinion is that for an Acoustic Bass Guitar you're best in getting whatever the manufacturer makes, as they vary *wildly* - far, far more than Electric Basses[/b]. If the manufacturer doesn't make one I'd start looking at gig bags as getting a custom hardshell case made is a good chunk of change. I have a friend who got an ATA-style touring-level case made for his Taylor AB-4: he's a Clinician for the company, tours every few years for them and has also brought it for some European gigs, and thus needed that level of protection. Then again, it cost him several hundred dollars and weighs a metric ton. |

The locked latch broke when it took a heavy hit (50kg combo amp dropped on it) in open position but other than that it's in great shape. |

| | | | Good luck finding more than 2 options for your model acoustic bass, seriously it's not going to come down to brand so much as what's actually available.
