Who Makes a Nice Gig bag.

Sign in to disble this ad
I have had the same old gig bag for years now and It's a little ragged.
I'm ready to treat myself to a new one and wish to tap into the collective knowledge of this forum.

So who makes a real high quality Gig Bag? I'm not interested in crap.
I remember Reunion Blues used to have a good rep. Are they still the top manufacturer?

Suggest to me some high end gig bags that I might like.

I have top of the line Ritter double & mid-level single; both are VERY nice. Wide, thick & well-padded straps, tons of extra pockets, sturdy zippers. The double(which gets used the most)has already far outlasted the Fender doubler it replaced.

The best I've seen was by a guy that posts on this forum, his brand is called IGIG or something like that.

holy crap those IGIG bags are insanely nice! they look very expensive (no price listed) but have some really good design and safety features (safety referring to your bass).

Glenn Cronkhite founded Reunion Blues, eventually sold it, and the new owners took all the manufacturing off shore. IMO the new ones are not as nice as the old ones.
Glenn still makes his own bags, and they are NICE. Nicest bags I've ever seen - and I believe, slightly less $$$ than a RB. I could be mistaken on that though. A GC is around $360 for leather, $280 for cordura. Totally worth it, again IMHO. Lifetime investment.
