Question Who's got Vista? Music apps?

I've heard vista is still very buggy for audio but I'm stuck with it. Can anybody suggest music hardware and software that works w/ Vista? Freeware and shareware are best!

For recording, I recommend Audacity, it's all I've ever needed. as for beats and stuff like that, a good tracker like buzz or modplug....

Full freeware setup

I've never heard of freeware or shareware hardware . I've had good experience with an E-Mu 1212m card and the bundled Sonar LE.

Idunno what you are looking for... I use Finale (NOT freeware, though there is a free demo) ALL the time and never had a problem... Just got an H4 that came with Cubase studio software. I have not used it much yet though.

Thanks for the help so far guys. I'm looking for any music oriented apps that do not crash or hang with Vista. Free is best! For hardware, I mostly want to do live multitrack recording so an interface with true Vista compatible drivers (not merely Vista compatible sales claims) would be good too. I haven't confirmed that my old one won't work yet, I'll have time to install this stuff in a few weeks . . .
