I never got the concept of Guitar Hero if you can play guitar.

Guitar Hero was really made for people who don't play the guitar. If you can, you're not going to waste your time playing a simulation of it, you're going to actually do it.

I bet real dancers play DDR. It's the same concept. Even if you play guitar in real life, its fun to play GH because GH and regular guitar are different.

I freakin' love Guitar Hero, it's actually what got me into bass playing (hearing YYZ for the first time). I can shred on that game like nobody's business.

Saying that it's for people who can't play guitar is like saying that people playing DDR should learn to ballroom dance. Huh? It's a fun game, and the experience is TOTALLY different than playing the actual instrument. And it makes you feel good.

To the OP, honestly, I'm just waiting for Rock Band to come out. GH2 had too many songs I couldn't care less for, and Rock Band has TOM SAWYER!!!

I didn't really get it at first, but after trying it a few times I can say that I really enjoy it. The whole "not playing in real time" was very disorienting at first, but once I got used to it the game became a lot more fun.

Personally, I'm mostly impressed by the fact that the animated characters playing guitar are actually playing what they're supposed to - their hand and arm animations are great.

I dominate guitar hero games, and Ill challenge any of yall to a bass duel whenever you want, and I can ballroom dance. No lie.

I'm terrible at guitar hero but it seems fun.

The only reason I'd want Dragonforce in the game would be to be able to lift the guitar by its trem arm like Herman Li does.

I saw a clip of the guys in Dragonforce playing GH against some journalists from a nerd website. IIRC, the nerds whooped up against the band.
