That works when there are no variations of said product. For example...
Would you buy something if it said "selling 2004 American Deluxe P Bass" when you didn't know if it were 4 strings or 5?
How about "Selling rotosound roundwound bass strings?" Would you buy that? There's a reason that websites such as Amazon encourage sellers to include as much information as possible and as much detail as you can find. Details sell.
I agree with the OP. Being vague is no way to sell something. However, you could always ask for more information. It could be that they just didn't think to include something, especially with someone who doesn't sell a lot of gear.
