Why do racks only come in even spaces?

Sign in to disble this ad
As I'm sure many of us do, I like to put together dream racks and plan my next rig. One thing that bothers me is that racks seem to only come in even numbers of spaces. Why is that? Is it just tradition? Sure, I could get an 8-space and just fill the empty slot with a grill or something, but I want a 7-space rack!

You could have a custom built rack made to any size you want. Try a place like Anvil or Calzone. I've dealt with Calzone on custom stuff and they are very accomodating.

And there are odd sized racks, but they are either small like a 3 space, or large like a 15 or 25 space.
