Why does TalkBass hate Pop Punk ?

Sign in to disble this ad
In my other thread What is the best Bass for Pop Punk? alot of the comments were POOP like "get what bass your mom can afford" and "whichever looks best with your guyliner". What the CHICKENBUTT is your problem guys? I don't like Jazz, but I don't go into threads about jazz and start ragging on it.

There's no "correct" answer to your question. Try some basses out until you get the feel/sound you're looking for. Also, you likely already know what basses are used in your favorite bands and create the sound you want - start with those.

bass is bass.
i posted a link in your other thread, but ill voice my opinion here. (because thats what a forum is)

play every bass you can get a hold of and decide what you like. in actuality there is no perfect bass for any genre of music. posting a thread here and getting 100 different responses could result in 100 different opinions. the only one that matters is yours. if you dont like what people here have to say, dont post. but the reality is that is what a forum is for. is it right, not always. ive posted my threads where people gave some harsh opinions, but take it in stride and move on to find your solutions.

its what you want, not what TB suggests.

Your myspace page makes me think you like Precisions...

What are you trying to ask exactly, are you validating your use of P basses?

everyone makes a joke out of it because as stated above there's no right answer. You have to make the decision yourself.

"better" is relative, and based on opinion.

mods will be all over this, itll get flagged soon enough.
its getting too personal, and kind of off topic.
