Why is the TB iPhone app better than the website?

Shouldn't it be the other way around?

I mean one thing is there's no easy way to find your own threads from the My TalkBass area. You've got to subscribe to your own threads to keep track of them or do a search for yourself in the user list a whole lot of unnecessary steps. TB is the only forum I know of that' like this. It's a simple everyday task that really should have been in place, nothing complicated.

But then on the iPhone app, it's a single tap "show all threads you started" or "show all your posts", BAM and you're there, just like it should have been on the website. It's easier to navigate TB from a tiny 4" screen than it is from a full size computer display.

So why can't the website be as simple to use as the iPhone app? Is it because the website layout is out of date & older than the iPhone app?

I don't want it to come off the wrong way but I think it's at least valid to ask this question especially that many of us are paying members.

Click on your avatar or user name (or someone else's) and in your profile you can view your threads and posts.

This site is based on a popular and available forum script and wasnt developed from the ground up by the owner. Even though its a great forum script, you get the features you get with it.

Thanks! That's quite an improvement that I didn't notice before, but you've still got to find one of your posts in a thread or be already navigated to a thread that you participated in FIRST to do that. If you click on your avatar from the main page or from My Talkbass it doesn't take you to those links. Any way to view all your posts without having to search for one of your posts somewhere first?

I believe this is a vBulletin board, which is very popular software that makes the layout for you after you input the information. I'd be surprised if this is the author.
