Will a Jazz 24 fit in an SKB44 case?

Sign in to disble this ad
I just bought an SKB44 so I can get my old Rickenbacker home on the plane (I'm out of town). I'm willing to mod the case so the Rick will fit, but only if it fits my main bass, a Jazz 24. I don't have it with me to check.

Thanks.

Doesn't look like your getting any replies so I'll throw some info out there...

I had a Geddy Lee that came in one of these cases and it fit fine, which I don't think a geddy is too far off from a jazz 24. According to the internet, various websites say " Fits most Precision/Jazz style bass guitars."

Sorry, thats all I got for ya...

Thanks. I'm "assuming" the overall length is the same as a regular Jazz bass, and the headstock will fit in the pocket, but the body is a more compact design. I don't know how the difference might throw off how the bass seats in the recess of the case.

For the sake of the search function:

It fits. So does my Squier Deluxe Jazz Active V and my Peavey Grind 6-string. But they all benefit from a towel or something folded over the neck to tighten the fit in the neck recess in the lid of the case.
