Question Will moisture ruin your bass?

Recently I've taken to playing without a shirt on because it gets so hot in Texas, and I was wondering, is this bad for your bass? Will the sweat from your stomach ruin the finish or warp the wood somehow? Could it get to the electronics too?

I don't think it would ruin the finish, if you just give it a wipe down before you put your bass away. Same with your strings. It shouldn't hurt the electronics unless you are seriously dripping in there, I wouldn't worry so much about that part, most of the sweat would be on the top of the front and the back. Go for it!

Sweat is salty and acidic. Electronics hate these two conditions, and I don't think it's good for the finish, either.
