I was thinking of getting some fish. Would they be err... damaged by guitar/bass playing? |

of course, it would need to lose the question mark and perhaps the "Will"... Playing Bass Ruin Fish
could be a band name, too...
Oh - and no, it won't. Unless you are crazy loud.

| | | | Anyway, back to the OP question: I've had tropical fish on and off since before I started playing guitar and bass. This includes times of rather loud jamming. I've had no problems. In fact, at one time, I had my aquarium next to my piano with about a half-dozen neon tetras in it, and every time I'd play Pink Floyd on the piano, they'd swim just as close to the piano as they could.
If you like aquarium fish, go for it! |

Good luck with your fish, get some clown loaches they are great and i had mine for 15yrs. till I could no longer have a tank setup

Might even teach them to play bass. |

Might even teach them to play bass. | Turtles need dedicated tanks, they don't mix well with fish for a whole slew of reasons, included most species like to eat fish if they can catch them! Other than that, I've been keeping aquariums since before I was playing bass, and they mix just fine. |

There were minnows, little perch, salamanders, frogs and such. I caught a little turtle and put it in, and within 5 minutes it had killed every other animal in the tank. It turns out that it was a baby alligator snapping turtle, one of the most voracious predators in the Louisiana inland waters. |
