Wireless for 5-string bass

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi,
I'm looking for a wireless system for a 5-string bass. I've tryed several systems (AKG wms40, Sennheiser EW172 G2,...) but I always have a loss on the low frequency's of the low B-string. Does anyone have experience with a wireless system that can produce these frequency's without a loss of bass in the very low frequency's?

Thanks

None that I know of.
There's always a loss even with expensive models I tried.
It's usually easy to correct with EQ though.

Shure's ULX series seems to have the least loss in bottom end, to my ears anyway.

My band uses Shure UHF for all wireless applications (body packs, mics) and they sounds great. No noticible loss of bottom end that I can hear.

If you can find an Xwire, or the SEnnheiser digital equivalent, they've got no compression or low freq loss.

They're discontinued though, so good luck.
