Wireless Surround Speakers

Sign in to disble this ad
I am remodeling my den and I'd like to find some rear channel speakers that wouldn't need wire. Anyone using wireless surround speakers for the rear? I will be able to keep my front and sub wired. Sorry if this is in the wrong place.

Several companies make them; Sony is probably the best known. They work via line-of-sight infrared, so it's real easy to accidentally turn off the speakers just by walking in front of them! Not cool.

IMHO if your gonna use wireless speakers youve defeated the purpose of using good speakers at all. We looked into these when I was helping my parents set up a home theater. Im pretty nit picky, and they just sounded aweful. Convience over function. I never ever use anything wireless where my fidelity is concerned. I ended up getting this pretty neat monster cable that was flat and you could paint it. I ran it along the floorboards and painted it the same color as the wood. You cannot see it at all it looks that good.
