Honestly they may be cheap and seem affordable, but you get what you pay for. The 2 best wireless systems i have used to date is EV re2 or RE1 and the Sennheiser 100s 300s or 500s, they are all great sennheiser is a little more becuase you get a nice cast bodypack, but the Ev re1 comes with a cast 1 as well.
i think the RE2 is under $600 somewhere, very good bang for your buck. has an abs bodypack.
AKG wms 40 is also good if your still not sure you want to dive into wireless.

A watse of money! Then I got a Sennheiser eW172G2. Beautiful, quiet, good tone, reliable and long range. More $$$ but worth it. I scored it on eBay for $350 new... |

The receiver was in the basement and I went up to the ground floor and walked around a fairly large house with no loss of signal.
Unfortunately, there was also almost no bass. Take a cheap AM radio speaker and run your bass amp through it. That's what it sounded like.
I bet the guitar sounded bad through it too.
So I turned it off and went back to a cable. |
