Wolfman Jack Interview What Is Wrong With Radio?

Anybody used to listen to him when he was on the air?

I never did

In this video he totally lays it down in simple terms why radio sucks, and why the music industry has been sucking so bad for the last 25 years (I know he died more than 20 years ago)

Don't get me wrong, there is some good music out, but not on the FM. Now this is why I have XM radio in my car. I commute about 90 minutes a day.

Why should I listen to this junk? NPR gets boring after a while.

Oh yeah he was a real person and his life story is amazing. Where do you think the song Mexican Radio came from?

Yeah I remember that dude, he was pretty good. IIRC, he started off basically as an outlaw, hijacking radio frequencies, walking over stations with his broadcasts. He became quite a cult hero. Then he went mainstream, and legit.
Of course that is how I remember it, I could be wrong. I'm sure some kid will come along now who was not even born then, and tell me how wrong I am, and how what he was doing was wrong, because it was hurting someones feelings or something , and we should all see things " his" way.
