The wood porn thread.

Havent seen this yet and didnt see anything in search.

Pics of the most stunning wood you have ever seen?
Could be anything from quilted spalted maple to just a nice piece of ash.

Cool-------------I just went and posted 35,000 yr old wood on there AND a picture of my bass made from it. Gorgeous wood. Oldest and rarest workable wood in the world.

Any of the threads about ACG basses are 100% wood porn. That guy must've made a sacred deal with the tree gods, because he gets wood for his instruments that is unbelievable looking.

Also, check out the Fodera on the right:



I got wood looking at that wood!

I have a few with nice wood. My favorite is my Sadowsky 25th Anniversary Modern 5-24 with flamed koa top. Then the koa Fodera and the two F Basses, spalted maple and buckeye burl. Oh yeah, and the Drozd.
