Cool Woodstock at school

Sign in to disble this ad
Today we had our Woodstock festival at school. In history for the past couple of weeks we have been working on the Vietnam Era, and a huge part of that is the Hippie movement/rock n' roll/Woodstock.

My history teacher, a huge music buff, set up an outdoor concert at school with a band playing classic rock tunes from the era. He coordinates it every year. There was an ice cream truck there, tents set out, and people just having a good time. It was 90 degrees out and muggy, but very well worth it to get out there and have fun.

The band played extremely well. They were very tight, and really rocked out.

My history teacher is awesome. He plans and arranges this show every year. It was an amazing way to start finishing up the last 2 weeks of school.

glad you had fun,
things haven't changed much,
protests still achieve nothing other than awareness
and the gov't will still jail and shoot you for trying to stand up to their

How about some more details? Was the band students from your class or a hired band? Were you in the band? Overall that sounds like a great time.

Sounds like fun, but the hippies can take a hike. I hate hippies.
