Word of thanks to Mike Lull

Just want to give a word of thanks to Mike Lull,Mike recently saved the life of my prized 1962 Fender Jazz,The bass was originally taking to local shop in my area. After taking the Bass in a few times with fret issues,Fret level, then a total refret,Was informed the board could not be leveled do to thickness of the board,Was told fret board would need to be replaced.

After dumping several hundred $ into trying to get the bass right,I decided to send it to Mike Lull,Sent the neck out to Mike to get him to evaluate the board,Mike ask me why do I want the board replaced on the Bass?,I told him it was suggested by these people which names I won`t say!, Was told there was not enough board and was to thin to be leveled?. Mike asked who did the refret?,He said in the 35+ years of building and repairing he had never seen such a Horrific refret,The board on the bass did not need to be replaced that the thickness of the board was what came out of the Fender Factory in 62,I was totally blowin away by what he had just told me.The board did not need to be replaced just needed to be worked on by a Pro that knew what he was doing and knows what vintage instruments are!,Mike leveled the board refretted the bass and now it is as if I just purchased it brand new,The bass play`s like a dream!!!,No issues what so ever,Board is level,If ever you are in doubt always get a second opinion,Thank god I did not let these folks do a board replacement on the Bass,The bass would have been ruined,With out the original finger board.
In closing,if you ever need work done by one of the Masters please contact Mike or Paul at Lull Basses,Pay the extra to get it done right.
So a big thank you to Mike Lull for saving my basses life!!
