Words i dont understand, help

These are bass related words that i dont understand and i was wondering if i could get some clarification:

Head
Cab
Cabinet
Pre-amp

Hmmm, there are more, but i cant remember what they are, so ill just start with those

Search maybe? Not to criticize, but that's the best way to find almost any answer. Correct me if I'm wrong, I'm still new to this.

Head = amplification unit used to power the speakers
Cab=Cabinet=Box that holds the speakers
There are a couple types of pre-amps, so I'll let someone else take that one. I'm not 100% sure on it.
