Would this trade be in my favor?

i posted my ibanez soundgear on craigslist and some guy responded saying he would trade a peavey renown 400 guitar amp for it. i dont play guitar, so i know nothing about it. i know its an old peavey tho. i am just wondering if i could get more for the bass or the amp? the bass is the soundgear with 4 knobs lol

If you can't use the item he is proposing, you lose out! In addition, both of y'all need to fully disclose the exact models and condition of the items. Nothing worse than vagueness where folks have to continuously ask questions!

By reading your post, all I know is you have an Ibanez with 4 knobs and he has a Peavey guitar amp of some sort. That would annoy me!

i dont know what the model of the bass is. i had pictures of it. all i know is its a soundgear (think it might say gio on the headstock too) it has 4 knobs and a 9vt battery, so im guessing it has and active pre in it? it has a p/j pup configuration. he told me he had a peavey renown 400 solo series amp. 2x12 and 160 watts. in good condition. i have no use for it, but i was wondering if i could get more cash for the amp then i could for the bass. or which goes for more

I bought a Peavey Renown 30 years ago, then sold it to my friend 15 years ago. It has been dropped down the stairs at least 3 times and never had a problem. It has a lot of volume and 2 separate channels. If you are looking for an amp that may last forever you can't go wrong with Peavey.
