Well this is a bummer... Come home from work, to find out we got robbed. HDTV, Xbox 360 and normal stuff like that all gone... I'm thinking oh no as I walk back to the "office"...
Soon as I walk in, sure enough, blank wall hangers where the guitar's used to be. The guitars and my new bass, gone... along with the pod x3 and my orange bass amp...
Cops say sorry. Insurance company says Sorry, and then give me the bill for the deductible..
Its a bummer, because I was really enjoying learning to play the bass... Sure it was just a cheapo SX, but it sure was fun...
anyway, rant over. Write down your serial numbers and play a few extra grooves for me...

That recorder was probably worth no more than $150 at this point, but they took it over the guitars.
Sorry for you loss, hopefully you'll get yourself a new bass soon.

| | | Its crazy what they take... They even left a $20 bill sitting on the table, walked right past it...
They left my acoustic guitar. I wish they'd have taken it instead of the bass though...
Insurance will pay minus the deductible. Which basically means we can replace the T.V. But not the bass gear... And not like teachers make a lot of money these days either... dang crooks |

Took my laptop and camera. Big time shame. I think that the stuff is replaceable, but there is a sense of futile indignation which takes longer to fade... |

If what you say IS true, I have a lot of serial numbers to write down. |

| | | | Well the insurance company will cut me a check for the total assessed loss, minus the deductible... so, total loss around 3k, 2k deductible equals 1k cash... enough to replace the TV. |

One right before christmas, one right after. Luckily no instruments or bass related equipment was taken but 2 360s in just over a week was pretty killer.
Needless to say I know what it feels like, and it sucks so I feel you dude. If you are able to, get your stuff insured or put under some protection plan. I don't think i can becasue i'm a dependent and I dont think my parents actually know the value of the gear I own, but if you can, do it.

Sorry for you loss, hopefully you'll get yourself a new bass soon. | Tell him to be on the lookout for a second hit.
I'm sorry to tell you this, the crooks may be brazen enough to come back to get what they left behind.
Happened to a neighbor I once lived next door to. She was a single mom, we lived in a not-so-great neighborhood. Her place was burglarized during the day when she was at work, and her kid at school. Horrible enough, but the very next day they broke in again to take more.
My sister once lived in a rental house in a bad neighborhood. She was also burglarized during the day. Except they must have backed into the driveway with a moving van. No kidding, they took almost everything. Furniture, clothing, and of course whatever valuables were there. Even the pots and pans. Hard to believe someone would be brazen enough to do that.

Or if you don't need a 50" of course it would be even cheaper.. So basically. you can get that and an SX!
your deductible scares me. I better check my policy and make sure it isn't $2k |

I had a car broken into back in Nov 2001, while I was travelling in FL...(I lived in PA at the time)...my home contents covered the $800 worth of gear stolen from the car and I didn't have to pay a deductible... | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
