I owned the Samson Airline first, and I couldn't stand it. Lots of distortion and dropouts, only one channel. I switched to the X2, and haven't looked back. In my experience, the X2 is clearly the winner, and worth the extra hundred bucks or so.

X2. I use one with the Powerbug battery, and it at still is at full steam after 5 four hour gigs. The digital x2 uses less power than a standard.

X2. I used to own the Samson and its junk. You'd be better off buying a cheap Nady

I'm in love with my x2 for the most part not only because the compact size allows me to toss it in my case, but it is so clean sounding that I don't even sense that I'm not using a cord except for the lack of tangle around my legs.

You should be able to use any 9v power supply as long as it's got the proper polarity. Even if it doesn't it's not hard to rewire the plug in reverse.

The only thing that drives me nuts is the battery change process which I used to be able to do one handed while still singing!

Get the x2 and never look back.
