Xmas gifts for a minimalist/decluttering bassist?

Sign in to disble this ad
For the last few weeks I've been in intense decluttering mode, cleaning the house and getting rid of all the extraneous crap that I've accumulated over the years.

That clashes hard with the fact that Christmas is two weeks away. I've tried the "I don't need more stuff" angle in the past and that's just resulted in my family getting me a bunch of nonsense that they mistakenly think I'd like.

So I'm on a quest to find affordable things for my close ones to get me this year. Other than boring stuff like straplocks, another leather strap, or a new set of Hi-Beams for my Jazz.

I ran across this tiny travel amp thingy that looks really cool, and some Moleskine music notepads.

Any other cool and interesting gear/gadgets/bass-related paraphernalia that I or some other minimalist bassist might be missing? (Preferably in the under-$100 range!)

Share your interesting gift ideas!

How 'bout making a clock

for your practice area. Take some clock guts, and use some of your unused or non working gear and adapt it to hang on the wall. Stick the clock guts inside and your old gear is now functional wall art.
