today I had my first audition in more than 20 years. Other than a guitar here and there, I haven't jammed with others since 1988 or so. I was a bit nervous (I only sweated a little), but it went so much smoother than I expected. All those involved were hyped.

Well, I got the nod (so to speak) before I even left the place. So they're no longer searching and I no longer have to play the blues all by my old lonesome self.

Cooler than cool.

Who did you audition for? Was it a local band?

Yep,. It's local. I'd have to be making some significant dough for my wife to consent to anything else. As far as the name goes... I certainly should know that, but I don't. So, don't quote me, but I believe it's Mumbly Peg.
