yet another GC story

Sign in to disble this ad
usually, the folks at gc are great, but i went to trade in some stuff and...woooo...
wanted to trade in my TBC since my amp blew out and i need a new one toute suite.
anyhoo, i expected them to lowball me ($125 for the TBC single M 5er because it was not a marketable brand name), but what really itched my b**chbone was that the salesperson (really cool fella) was showing other salespeople the bass and they all were snickering at it.
why? 'cause they thought a name like 'the bass company' was stupid, so they all had a good chuckle.

weirdos. but i still don't have me amp.

They offered you $125 for it? I would just try to sell it here. I'm sure it would go to somebody who would appreciate it.

And not that I agree with GC employees, but "The Bass Company" is pretty weak. They should have though of a better name.

I get good trades at GC ...never sell outright you get ripped. I did like alot of TBC stuff when they came out but thought that name was so lame myself. Its like a new car maker coming out and calling it ..."The Car Company" I have heard those basses are decent but the company is shifty and some problems have come up with preamps and stuff ..gald i never pulled the trigger on one.
