You can sing into a tuner

I changed the title of this post. It used to be "Don't Sing into a tuner"... But I realized I was wrong in saying so.

So nothing else to add.

(this originally was a huge post about how a tuner didn't pick up my voice properly, and was telling me I was off, when I *thought* I wasn't... Hence the replies. I have since deleted my post because I didn't want to have wrongful info on here).

Are you sure it's the tuner?

LOL, I feel like an idiot right now... And I'm going to make myself look like one, but I'd rather be honest and not screw with anyone out there.

So when I read your post, I was certain it was the tuner, but I wanted to be sure. I set up my computer, a keyboard, and a tuner. I played an A on the keyboard and sung it, the pitch tracking software showed I was hitting an A and then I looked down at the tuner and saw an A... Tried this with some other notes and it seems to be right.

I guess I really was 6 semi-tones off... Ouch...

Sorry everyone

What's important is that you're working at it. I've known a singer or two I wish would've put that kind of effort into it.
