Yeah, I know what you mean.

That's why I like coming here. Bassists from all over the world, any kind of bassist.
And no matter how stupid your questions may be, they are answered in a friendly way.
This is a forum where almost all of the members respect each other. (Unlike some other forums which I shall not name.)

And we have the administrators, moderators and members to thank for this enviroment.

It is a great forum, but the off topic section can get pretty heated at times. Yet somehow the TB community holds together like one big family in spite of the occasional squabbles and differences of opinion.

You wont be saying that once you get the TB GAS

I agree though, this place is great for getting advice and just having a good chat.
Its when people start posting pics of their gear that it turns nasty.
Before you know it you'll have 10 basses, 4 amps (inc at least one LMII), love flats and have a large overdraft.

Great fun.

The happenings in OT is what keeps the forum so close. We can have disagreements, but still talk about having a beer together.

You think Talkbass is cool huh? You haven't been here long. Just wait til I start talking $#$&*# about your @#$#)# and #$@$&ing #($*@#$

Seriously though, this is one of the best regulated (individually and by mods), most knowlegable and most friendly places on the internet. Glad you've found it informative.

Good to have you aboard!

Yeah I agree. There are few hit and run artists around here that love to torch things time to time, but in general most folks here at TB are passionate yet civilized, even when the great debates are on.

I know how you feel man.

I feel like I've learned more in 6 months here than I would have in 3 years without TB.
It's interesting being the only teenage musician I know who can really talk about specifics with instruments, half the time the guys I play with are asking me what I mean.

YAY TB!
