I won't have much chance of making a living playing bass, not here in Norway. And I'm not sure it'd be quite as fun if my income depended on it.

I gave it up right around the time my son was born. After about 7 or 8 years I got back into it but decided that I didn't care if I made much money. Any money I made was a plus but this time around I would do it on my terms. I'm only in it for the fun and when it stops being fun I will stop gigging. I'm sure I will always play even if I don't have a gig. It's a way of life and it is what I do/am.

But I'm hoping it will turn into a "part time job" soon, doing some paid gigs with one of my bands! |
