your band is playing their final show in front of a huge crowd, whats your last song?

Sign in to disble this ad
basically the opposite of my previous discussion

as it says you're playing your final show before retiring what song do you play last to end the show?

the others i've been posting have been turning into good discussions so lets get another one started

It would devolve into a no holds barred bare knuckle death match between the singer and the drummer.

So I imagine the guitar player and I would play something light and up beat acoustically. Probably Sugar Sugar by the Archie's.......

This is a little out of left-field, but I always thought that You Give A Little Love from Bugsy Malone would be a great set closer.

We either do "Roll With It" by Steve Winwood or "Show Me The Way" by Frampton...

A band I was with early in the '80s always did AC/DC's Whole Lotta Rosie for our last tune. The man on lead really worked up a sweat on that one and the crowd ate it up. My brain/hands were rather bored though.

Nowadays...and next week I may think differently...I really think Perl Jam's Alive has a similar intensity; and the bass is much more interesting/engaging.

Although, GFR's Into The Sun would do the trick for me too.
Hey, it worked for them, didn't it?

The cover bands I ran always finished with Offsprings "Gone Away" so if I had any say on my last gig that would be the song being played.

I'm surprised that I would ever say this, but... "War Pigs". Works every time (if the guitard doesn't wreck it).
