I'd rather have a couple ~$1000 basses than a single bass worth more than my car.

But I can guarantee you that a $2000 bass is a lot more desirable than a $2000 car. My wife just said the bass sounds better too!

Although I have a much nicer car, I spend the vast majority of my time in my old Ford, if that qualifies. |

| | | in parts, no, the car is worth more.
In sentimentality, the bass by far. If i total the car, my level of caring is nil, so long as my bass comes out of it ok.

If we're talking replacement value....oh god-taking in account my upright and all that stuff-i think the value of my bass gear is 2-3 times more than the value of my car. Old car, runs strong, and only has around 60k miles on it, bass gear-plays well and will surely out last the car.
That's all

Yep, my bass is worth more than my car.

and I don't think I could get a (usable)car for less than $170 USD
