I'm sorry if this has come up many times. Tried searching but I can't find it.

What basslines do you find the most enjoyable to play?

In my limited experience, my favorite so far is: Good Times.

Wolfgang Parker's 'The Mice, The Demons & The Piggies'. Or QotSA's 'In My Head'.

The bass solo from Aeroplane. Quite simple, yet very funky

A Little Bit Outlaw - Lying Through My Teeth

Jet - Are You Gonna Be My Girl?

The first one is an original by my band, and i play the bass slightly different in the verse nowadays, makes it more fun, and Are You Gonna be My Girl is just so good to play live.

Some great Classic stuff there. I'm going to have to look into those and try them out.

Liam, was that Jet: Are You Gonna Be My Girl? Clip is unavailable in Aus.

I'm fairly new to all this, so my favourite basslines to play are (mostly) on the simpler side, but just really nice melodies:

Summer Skin - Death Cab For Cutie
Children In Bloom - Counting Crows
Old Man Kensey - REM
Newborn - Muse
Hysteria - Muse (okay, that's not so simple)

I'm new too Sovery, so nothing wrong with keeping it simple.
Interesting note, I'm using Newborn to motivate my fiance to learn guitar properly so we can play together. So that's a bassline I'm going to HAVE to learn. (Along with pretty much every other muse bassline.)

Favorite bass line to play on my own:

Portrait of tracy, it is the song that made me start to play bass!

Favorite bass line to perform with my function band:

sweet child of mine, not the hardest or most technical but i just love the way we play that song!
Guitar player nails the solos like no one i ever saw, drummer is fat and loud and i just feel great laying the foundation of so much rock n' roll!
