OK so heres the scenerio, you lose your bass setup in a fire (god forbid i knw! ) and for some reason you cant get the money on insurance.

Your given £1000 for a bass and a bass amp whats your choice? Any money not spent is thrown away so spend as close as u can or as best a setup as u can think of.

My choice:
Warwick Double buck 5 string = £675.00
Ashdown Mag C115 300 (1x15" 307 watts) = £289.95

Total = £964.95

Ampeg SVT-II - £500, thats how much mine cost me, second hand obviously
Marshall VBC810 - £275, again, was second hand
Ibanez ATK-400 - £150, again, was second hand

Leaving £75 for a tuner, speaker cable, and instrument cable

If i had a little bit more i would have gotten another sansamp BDDI, mine cost me £110

So, thats essentially £35 short of my current gig rig (minus backup)

Not bad for a really nice bass, 300 watt all valve head and 8x10 cab

Aww man, that sucks, that way i wouldnt be able to get any of that, well, i could get the cabinet, its out of production, but still availible, the rest are long out of shot.

If it was new

SVT-II - £1500 - £2000
VBC810 - £700
ATK-400 - £500ish

A bit over limit

Ill do this later on for new gear within limit tho

I guess 1000 pounds is about 2300 euro's:

-Ashdown ABM 410 x2 = ~1200 euro's
-Ashdown EVO 300 = ~550 euro's
-Squier Japan/Korea '85 = ~200-250 euro's (kicks all Fender US ballz)
-300 euro's for a English Muff'n, racktuner (behringer?), + cables
