I don't know if anybody has done this yet, but if you could put together a band of all of your favourite musicians, alive or dead, who would it be? I'd go for...
Bass - Steve Harris (Iron Maiden): I know there must be guys who are technically more proficient, but I really like his style and he's a good songwriter, too. Well, maybe not with lyrics...
Lead/Rhythm Guitar#1 - Ritchie Blackmore (Deep Purple): True pioneer of his genre, and every band should have a classically trained, moody, eccentric genius.
Lead/Rhythm Guitar#2 - Allen Collins (Lynyrd Skynyrd): I know it's not an original choice, but I still think Freebird has the greatest guitar solo of all time. Allen Collins deserves a lot more recognition.
Drums - Alex Van Halen (Van Halen): Sometimes outshadowed by his brother, this dude rocks. If you ever see his live drum solos, he's got to be one of the fastest guys out there.
Vocals - Dexter Holland (Offspring): I know this guy will probably not be remembered alongside Sinatra and Bing Crosby for his legendary vocal talent, but I really like Offspring's style.
Obviously, in real terms this band would never work because one of them is dead, two have huge egos that wouldn't work alongside each other and one is given to releasing comedy songs with goofy sound effects and videos, but I still think all five of them are legends. I'd love to see what other people come up with! |

or how about:
Cisnero
Rodriguez-Lopez
Grohl

Here is an example of just their guitarist, a poet: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ETPEtqAE1-A |
