Zombie songs

Sign in to disble this ad
One of my bands covers both the Cranberries "Zombie" and the Pretty Reckless "Zombie". What other zombie songs could we do? I can think of a few that the Cramps did, but other than that nothing comes to mind. I assume there's probably a lot of metal songs about zombies, but we're interested in more poppy stuff.

Could we put together an entire zombie set?

My favorite is, 'I walked with a Zombie' - Roky Erickson http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KcGb24n9hvM

I know a bunch... but they're all by obscure punky bands...

Ah yes, rockabilly - probably the ultimate zombie genre, and one I'm not very familiar with. Thanks for all the other suggestions, too, we might be able to do a special zombie set.

Sorry, but zombies are property of metal. Eddy the head, the most famous zombie ever, is Iron Maidens(one of the most famous metal bands ever) mascot.

Cannibal Corpse=zombie, get it?

Then theres one of my favorite songs by my favorite band, Death- Zombie Ritual.

But then again, anything by the Danzig era Misfits is pure win. (imho, at times they are much more of a thrash metal band then punk, YouTube - The Misfits- Death Comes Ripping but eh...)

I'd go with Roky as suggested (which it's not the original version surprisingly) or Southern Culture with Zombified - YouTube - Southern Culture on the Skids - Zombified

You could try to make your own version of Jonathan Coulton - Re:Your Brains

Great tune.

Machinae Supremacy did 4 of those -- the "March of the Undead" cycle. My favorite is Reanimator (part 3): YouTube - Machinae Supremacy - Reanimator

Oh yeah, Fields Of The Nephilim had a song called "Reanimator", too.
